Content Style Guide: tool capitalizemytitle with "Chicago" for title capitalization does not always give correct result

Style guide suggests https://capitalizemytitle.com/ with Chicago.

As far as I have researched, there are 2 exceptions where the tool does not work correctly for us:

  1. "Chicago" lowercases articles, prepositions, conjunctions with 4 letters or more (e.g. with, without, until, ...) while we capitalize them. I think, here the "AP" style would fit better (e.g. "With" is capitalized).
  2. Special spelling like all caps for acronyms (PHP, CMS), TYPO3, TypoScript, stdWrap etc. are spelled as they are commonly spelled in our style, but the tool just applies the standard rules blindly (e.g. it creates Php and Typo3).

Suggestion

I still find https://capitalizemytitle.com/ useful. If you just point out to be careful with the named exceptions. And possibly suggest "AP" instead of "Chicago".

Additional information

I have added some more examples and information to page in docs, maybe these are helpful. My examples should be double-checked though and this page is pretty new:

  • Rules for title capitalization
  • Example words for title capitalization
